Bandy The Bandersnatch

In order to pump up the curriculum vitae, I have been learning the various animation software packages of the 2D world. After CelAction 2D and Flash, I have moved on to Toon Boom Harmony.
A mighty fine and intuitive software that allows beautiful control and ease of animation of your 2D characters.

This time's lucky character is Bandy The Bandersnatch

You may have recongnised him from one of my summer speed paintings yonks ago.
Below are the 'cleaned up' versions of Bandy which are ready to be rigged in Toon Boom.
As I miss my 3D animation software Maya, a scene has been set up where Bandy shall come to life.
It is time that Sir Pea Greene got acquainted with fur.

Cheerio!

Timothy Can Walk

Sir Pea has been working on a couple of new characters just for you!
Behold...Timothy!

Timothy was rigged and animated in CelAction 2D and made into this wonderfully looping .Gif for your eyes!

A half of the inter-galactic news reporter duo, Tim is the trusty camera man who films all the oddities that him and Gertrude (the reporter-lady person) witness for the rest of the universe to see....

If Sir Pea Greene designed for Pictoplasma

When Tutor Alan said that Frank and Ella looked like they could be part of Pictoplasma, Sir Pea thought it would be a good idea to draw them in a more 'vinyl toy' style.

These might become decals, or erasers (suggested by Lydia) or actual vinyl toys

Enjoy!

Ella In Her Chair

This is the first shot of Ella in her Chair. This is a colour blocking texture that I am experimenting with. I might make the lines a little bolder

Ella Tail Test Loop

I am rather pleased with this loop, except for the tail movement at 00:04 where the lower portion of the tail could oscillate as well...

Frank Rowing Test Loop

Here's another test loop with Frank rowing! This was a test of his action. The boat will move across the frame in the final animation

Background Wave Loop Test

Sir P. has begun with the 2D animation! The first bit was a repetitive wave loop for the boat sequence.

Frank's Almost Rig

Frank is now almost fully rigged! Do not be alarmed by the lack of eyes...the lattice deformers need to be perfected. It won't be long before Frank is able to see again! Also..the texture on Frank's shorts requires alignment. That shall be addressed.

Here is Frank with the controls:
